OH-SO PURE FLORA
We take great pride in maintaining healthy colonies that thrive under our careful watch (ok, maybe too much sometimes – the bees know we are micro-managers!) thanks to the oh-so-pure flora of the Beaver Valley. The charming apiary is located in a clearing in a new growth forest protected from winds, in full sun and near a clean source of water.
WHAT MAKES BUZZING BUSH APIARY HONEY SO SPECIAL
What makes our honey and other by-products so special is that within flying distance from our hives, buzzing bush bees find a plethora of flowers that are virtually free of pesticides, fungicides and fertilizers. Having no big agricultural operations in our immediate vicinity (within 4 kms – the average maximum flying distance of bees – which you will find more about on our tour!), we practically live in a national park!
RAW. UNPASTURIZED. PURE.
Our multifloral honey, even though it is not officially labeled organic, carries all the benefits and taste of one. It is harvested straight from the comb, in its purest form, filtered by gravity through 400-micron sieves.
This purity is also carried in our pollen, wax and propolis, three products available at buzzing bush apiary.
B.Y.O.J. (BRING YOUR OWN JAR!)
To reduce the impact on the environment and our overuse of jars, buzzing bush customers (new friends!) are invited to bring their own bottles and fill them up with our honey, straight from the reservoir taps!
